How to Build a Fit Around One Red Jacket
Color, contrast and restraint — how to wear one loud piece without it wearing you.
One saturated color in a fit is a decision. Two is a negotiation. The easiest way to wear a red piece well is to make it the only thing asking for attention.
Start with a neutral base. Black, washed gray and off-white all let red sit forward. Matte finishes work better than anything shiny, because the contrast is what carries the look.
Keep prints out of it. If the jacket already has detail on the chest, a graphic tee underneath just cancels both out.
Then pick your proportion and commit. A boxy fit up top asks for a longer, looser bottom half; a fuller top half works with something straighter. Pick one and let the color do the rest.
